AU Roof Carpenter
Privacy policy
AU Roof Carpenter is published by Australian Dynamics (Australia). It is an on-site roof set-out calculator for Australian carpenters (gable ends, common rafter / birdsmouth, hip set-out, creeper schedule, and L/T junctions). It is offline-first, has no ads, and does not create accounts.
This page is the public policy for the App Store and Google Play. Plain language: we do not collect a profile of you, and we do not sell data.
What we collect
Essentially nothing beyond what Apple or Google already handle for a store purchase.
- Measurements and calculations stay on your device. Lengths, pitches, bevels and set-out marks are not sent to our servers. We do not run an account database.
- No login, analytics, advertising, or crash telemetry are bundled in this app.

Optional Pro unlock for the isometric, the cutting
list, and hip / valley / creeper / L·T set-out. Flat roof numbers
and pitched gable commons (birdsmouth and pitch) stay free. There
is no free preview of a Pro feature. Pro is either
$14.99 AUD per year (
roof_setout_pro_annual) or $39.99 AUD lifetime (roof_setout_pro_unlock). Either purchase unlocks the same Pro set. Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. They may keep purchase receipts under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your card number, and we do not get a copy of your full payment details. - A small on-device flag may remember that Pro is unlocked, so those tools stay available offline. That flag does not leave the device.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
- We do not show ads or share data with ad networks.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an email address, name, or location permission to use the calculators.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. To review, restore, or refund a purchase, use your Apple ID or Google account settings, or those companies’ support. Their rules apply to receipts and payment data.
Australian users
The app is built for tradies in Australia. If we ever held personal information covered by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we would handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Today the calculators themselves do not need that information to work.
Children
AU Roof Carpenter is a trade reference tool, not a children’s app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way (for example if a future build adds optional diagnostics), we will update this page before that release ships.
